Train-van collision kills 1 in Bangladesh

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)-A man was killed and two more injured when a train rammed into a covered van in Chittagong, a southwestern district of Bangladesh, early Tuesday.

The rail communications on the route remain suspended till filing the report around 11:00am following the accident.

The accident took place around 5:10am when Chittagong-bound Bijoy Express from Mymensingh hit van while it was crossing the Barabkuna level-crossing in Sitakunda upazilla of Chittagong, local police said.

The van helper died on the spot while two others also were injured.

The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment.
