Training aircraft crashes into Jamuna River in Sirajganj

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A training aircraft of Bangladesh Flying Club with two pilots on board crashed into the River Jamuna at Omarpur in Chowhali upazila of the country’s northern Sirajganj district Saturday morning, police said. 
Chowhali police rescued one of the two pilots--Shamsuddin-- while co-pilot Kamrul Hassan remains missing, The Daily Star, a local newspaper, reported quoting Sirajganj Superintendent of Police Mosharraf Hossain.
Cessna-152 that took off from Dhaka for Rajshahi in the morning crashed into the river around 11:40am (local time), the police official said, adding: "Search is going on for Kamrul.” 
Shamsuddin was rushed to Khaja Yunus Ali Medical College and Hospital in Enayetpur immediately after his recovery and later shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka by a chopper, the newspaper reported.
