Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A daylong training course on productivity development in leather industry was held at old part Hazaribag in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
 
Leather Sector Business Promotion Council of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) and Leather goods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (LFMEAB) have jointly organized the course.
The main objective of the training program was to focus on the technique of increased productivity for workers especially in leather goods and footwear industry considering that productivity development is essential for sustenance in the competitive world, the organizers said.
Resource persons including leather technologists from National Productivity Organization (NPO), Leather Technology College imparted training on varied issues related to the leather industry to the officers and workers of the sub sector industry.
 
Training module consisted of three topics — technical ideas on factor analysis, productivity analysis; production process and competitiveness.
