Trawler capsize kills five in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- At least five people drowned and nearly 40 went missing as a trawler packed with over 50 passengers capsized in the  Meghna river in the country’s Kishoreganj distract Wednesday morning.
Of the deceased, three are children while two women, according to reports.
The accident took place around 8:00 am while it was travelling to Chamrabandar of Karimganj upazila from Ghagra Bazar on Wednesday, a local police official said. 
Nor the identities of the deceased or the reason of the accident could be known immediately. But the police official also initially suspected that the trawler might have been overturned due to strong current in the river.
