Treasury securities’ yields increase in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank of Bangladesh held auctions for BDT 5.5 billion in Bangladesh Government Treasury Bills in the last week.

The auctions for 91-day and 364-day Treasury Bills were conducted on January 24 last. Weighted average yield for 91-day bills increased by 2 basis points to 2.35 percent while that of 364-day bills advanced 1 basis point to settle at 4.62 percent.

An auction of a 20-year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bond was held on January 26 this year where no bid was accepted, the central bank officials said.
