Treasury yields decline in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The central bank of Bangladesh held auctions for BDT 7.320 billion in bills and BDT 4,500 million in bonds in the last week, treasury officials said on Saturday.

The auction for 30-day Bangladesh Bank bills was conducted on Aug. 17. The implicit yield against the respective tenor was 0.93 percent.

An auction of 5-year Treasury bond was held on Aug.18 where the implicit yield declined by 71 basis points to close at around 7.49 percent.
