Tremor jolts Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted different parts of Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka, Sunday morning.

However, there was no immediate report of any casualty.

The tremor was felt at 7:05:26am, Bangladesh Met office report said.

The epicenter of the tremor was Assam in India.

The distance of the epicentre was 318 km northeast of the Agargaon Seismic Centre in Dhaka, the Met office report added.
