Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale, jolted some parts of the country including Dhaka and its adjoining areas Sunday morning, officials and residents said.
There was no immediate report of casualties or damage in the quake that was felt in Dhaka at 08:21:15am (local time)
The epicentre of the quake was in the Burma, officially known as Myanmar bordering region, some 397km east of the Dhaka Seismic Centre at Agargaon in the capital Dhaka, a met official said.
