– A tremor was felt in different districts including Dhaka, Sylhet and Netrakona of the country at 3:53:03 pm (local time) on Monday.

“Magnitude of the tremor was 6.4. The epicenter of the tremor was 462 kilometer away from Dhaka Seismic Centre on north-northeastern of the Bhutan-China border,” Meteorologist Rasheduzzman told BBN in Dhaka.

The last quake to shake Bangladesh was felt in the capital, Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet on September 4, 2009. The magnitude 6 quake was cantered at the Indo-Burma border, east of Bangladesh.
