Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government on Sunday appointed two directors to the Bangladesh Bank (BB) for three years term for operating the central bank smoothly, officials said.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) issued orders in this regard with the approval of the President and sent the copies of the notification to the BB Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman.
The new directors are: Dr. Jamal Unddin Ahmed FCA and Dr. Rushidan Islam Rahman, research director of the BIDS (Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies).
“We’ll act as per the government notifications,” a BB senior official told BBN in Dhaka.
