Two killed as freight truck hits train in Bangladesh capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Two people were killed and 27 injured as a freight lorry rammed a train at Inland Container Terminal of Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital Dhaka on Monday, police said.

The incident took place around 12:45pm (local time), a local police official confirmed.

The lorry defied signal to stop as the passenger train from Narayanganj was coming to Dhaka, according to officials of the Bangladesh Railway.
