Two LeT men held in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested two suspected operatives of Pakistan-based militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) at Abdullapur in Tongi under Gazipur district early Saturday.

The arrestees are Pakistani national Wazed Khan alias Zafar alias Salman, an explosive expert of the outfit, and his Bangladeshi associate Abu Bakar Siddique alias Baka.

RAB’s legal and media wing Director Commander Mohammad Sohail told reporters in a press briefing held at its headquarters in the capital Dhaka that Wazed came to Bangladesh on April 7 this year and was conducting the activities of the organization.

In another drive, the elite force personnel, being informed by alleged LeT man Maulana Mohammad Imran arrested on September 30 this year, recovered huge explosives from a house at Shahibagh in the capita’s suburb Savar Friday morning, the RAB director added.
