US ambassador to visit northern Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan Mozena will visit Pabna, Bogra, Joypurhat, Gaibandha, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat for a seven day visit beginning April 6.
 

The visit is a continuation of the Ambassador’s pledge to visit all 64 districts in Bangladesh, a US embassy announcement said in Dhaka on Saturday. 
 

During the visit, the Ambassador and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Janina Jaruzelski will participate in the closing ceremony of the USAID Gender Fair to be held in Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. He will also visit some of the local business establishments and key commercial sites of the region.

Additionally, the Ambassador will meet with local government officials, police superintendents, and civil society during the tour of the districts and will enjoy some of the cultural and historical sites of the region.
