Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Bangladesh Taka (BDT) plunged further against the US Dollar during the last week, treasury officials said.

The greenback strengthened in direct US Dollar (USD)/ BDT trading in the inter-bank market by around 06 paisa over the week, they added.

Growing demand from the commercial banks helped the USD/BDT rates rise throughout the week. The USD/BDT started the week hovering around 72.80 level only to end the week’s trading between 72.80 – 72.86 range.
