US dollar hits maximum BDT 74.20 in forex market

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The US dollar moved slightly against the Bangladesh Taka (BDT) on Monday due mainly to higher demand for the greenback in the inter-bank foreign exchange market.

The US dollar was quoted at BDT 73.80- BDT 74.20 in the inter-bank foreign exchange market on the day against BDT 73.35-BDT 73.80 of the previous working day, market operators said.

However, most deals were settled between BDT 74.05 and BDT 74.10, they added.
