U.S. Embassy closed on Aug 28,31, Sept 1

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The United States Embassy will be closed on Sunday, August 28, in observance of Shab-e-Quadr; and Wednesday and Thursday, August 31 and September 1, 2011  to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

These closures include the Consular Section and the American Center’s Archer K. Blood Library and Student Advising Center, a US embassy press statement said in Dhaka on Thursday.

The statement also said both Shab-e-Quadr and Eid-ul-Fitr are Bangladeshi holidays.
