US envoy to South Korea attacked

Seoul, South Korea (BBN)-US ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert has been injured by an armed attacker in Seoul, local media report.
They say the attack happened as Mr Lippert was about to attend a meeting in the capital, reports BBC.
YTN news channel posted a photo, showing the envoy after the assault with his left hand smeared with blood.
Mr Lippert was reportedly taken to hospital.
The attacker – whose identity was not immediately known – is believed to have been arrested.
