Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The US Department of State’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS) for South and Central Asian Affairs William E. Todd will lead an interagency delegation on a visit to Bangladesh this week.
While in Dhaka, PDAS Todd will meet with officials from the Government of Bangladesh to discuss out bilateral relations, the security situation, and regional integration and follow up on the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal last week, said a press release.
He will also meet with representatives from civil society.
Immediately prior to this assignment, PDAS Todd served as the US Ambassador to Cambodia, where he focused on the advancement of democracy, human rights, regional stability, counterterrorism, and trade and investment. Before his appointment to Cambodia, he served as the US Ambassador to Brunei and the Coordinating Director of Development and Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Kabul.
PDAS Todd has held several other senior positions within
the US Government.
He has been a career member of the Senior Foreign Service for more than 15 years.
