Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Professor Rita R Colwell, teacher of University of Maryland, USA called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office in the capital on Wednesday.
Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Professor Majibur Rahman, chairman of the Department of Microbiology Professor Anwar Hossain, Professor AKM Sirajul Islam Khan, Professor Abdul Malek and Sophie Yan Gao, Economic Officer of American Embassy in Dhaka were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking collaborative programs between Dhaka University and University of Maryland, USA, a DU press statement said.
Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guest for her visit to Dhaka University and her keen interest in its academic activities.
