US trade show opens in Bangladesh’s capital Thursday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The three-day 22nd Annual US Trade Show 2013 begins at the Rupashi Bangla Hotel in Dhaka on Thursday to showcase the US business in Bangladesh.
Commerce Minister GM Quader is likely to inaugurate the fair as chief guest.
The fair is being jointly sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Bangladesh and the United States Embassy.
The AmCham Bangladesh President Aftab-Ul-Islam, at a press conference, said 53 participants will display their products in 95 booths in the trade show.
He said the participating companies mainly include automobiles, energy, beverage and soft drinks, life insurance, construction, education, computer hardwares and softwares, financial institutions, foods, heavy machinery, textiles, health cares, ICT, etc.
A 23-member delegation from AmCham India is visiting Dhaka on the eve of US Trade Show, who are set to attend the opening ceremony on February 14.
AmCham Executive Director and Director US Trade Show 2013, A. Gafur was also present at the press conference.
