USD falls against EUR

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The US Dollar (USD) hit a fresh 14-month low against the European currency (EUR) after strong quarterly earnings boosted investor appetite for riskier assets. The EUR advanced to 1.4952 against the USD.

US stocks rose, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average going above the 10,000 mark for the first time in a year, led by JP Morgan Chase and Intel. The Dow stood at 10,015.86 at the close of business. The NASDAQ Composite rose slightly to 2,172.23, according to reports.
