Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The US Dollar (USD) fell to a six week low of 89.15 against the Japanese Yen (JPY) on Wednesday.

Japan’s Nikkei average rose 0.2 percent on Wednesday after hitting a 5 week low of 10,325.28 on the previous day. Nikkei added 18.79 points and rose to 10,344.07.

The Pound Sterling (GBP) slipped to a low of USD 1.6121 as UK’s fourth quarter GDP readings were weaker than expected, according to reports.

US stocks fell on late trading on Tuesday due to fears over political and regulatory developments. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 2.57 points or 0.03 percent to end at 10,194.29. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 7.07 points or 0.32 percent to finish at 2,203.73.
