USD gained against BDT, call money rates bound

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The US dollar appreciated marginally against the Bangladesh Taka (BDT) in the last week. The USD/BDT rates, that hovered around 69.23 during the early week, rose to 69.28 level in direct USD/BDT trading on Thursday.

On the other hand, the inter-bank call money market rates traded range bound throughout the week, with the Central bank of Bangladesh continuing to take money through it’s reverse repo window. Most of the deals settled between 2.10 and 3.00 percent.
