USD gains against JPY, EUR

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The US Dollar (USD) hit a two-month high against the Japanese Yen (JPY), to trade around 91.82 Yen and also rose near a 3-1/2-month high against the Euro (EUR) at around EUR 1.4219.

U.S. stocks gained, with the S&P 500 Index hitting a 14-month high at  2,237.66, as stocks rallied on a surge in existing home sales, indicating more stabilization in housing and boosting optimism about the economic recovery, according to reports.  

The Dow Jones index shot up 50.79 points, to end at 10,464.93 and the NASDAQ Index gained 15.01 points close at 2,252.67.
