Weekly roundup: Dhaka stocks rebound

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Dhaka stocks rebounded this week in the last week following the four-week downtrend, market operators said.

The benchmark index, DGEN, advanced 1.54 percent or 93.98 points in the week. All share price index, DSI gained 1.54 percent to 79.02 points while the blue-chip index, DSE-20 gained 1.52 percent to 62.81 points in last week.

Turnover improved slightly in the week. Total turnover value stood at BDT 16.8 billion (USD 236.5 million) compared to last week’s total turnover value of BDT 15.7 billion (USD 220.7 million).

Daily average turnover value stood at BDT 4.2 billion (USD 59.1 million) compared to last week’s average turnover value of BDT 3.9 billion (USD 55.2 million), according to DSE statistics.
