California, US (BBN)-WhatsApp has been in the news all week long due to the latest voice calling feature that has been introduced on Android operating system.
iPhone users have been waiting to get their hands on the latest VoIP feature and a few leaked screenshots are hinting that it might happen soon, reports India Today.
The leaked screenshot are from a jailbroken iPhone that is running WhatsApp v2.11.17.444 beta.
The screenshots show the iOS interface of the WhatsApp calling feature.
The screenshots fall in place along with the previous leaks that demonstrated the calling feature on an iPhone.
An Italian site also released a video demonstrating the feature which falls in line with the leaked screen shots.
The phrase 'WhatsApp Call' can be clearly spotted on the top left of the calling screen along with other generic calling options mute, message, and speaker options while in-call.
Currently, WhatsApp version 2.11.16 is available on the iOS app store which means the next update will carry the voice calling feature.
Last month a few iPhone users claimed to see calling buttons within the WhatsApp application but those buttons only redirected the user to the phones generic dialler instead of the VoIP call.
WhatsApp has been trying to roll out the feature in patches with Android being the first platform to receive it.
The screenshots confirm that iOS will be the next to get the update.
Another major platform, Windows Phone is still waiting for any kind of confirmation from the world's most popular instant messaging app.
