Women’s Cricket: Pakistan wins T20 series beating Bangladesh 2-0

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Visiting Pakistan Women’s team won the two-match T20 series beating hosts Bangladesh Women’s team by 34 runs in the day’s 2nd match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday, according to reports. 
 

Earlier, Pakistan Women’s beat Bangladesh Women’s by 13 runs in their 1st match on March 8, at the same venue.   Chasing 121 runs, Bangladesh Women’s folded their innings making 86 runs in 20 overs.  
 

Lata Mondol scored 19 runs off 24 balls while Rumana Ahmed and Shaila Sharmin made 11 runs each.  
 

Panna Ghosh and Ayesha Rahman scored 10 runs each for their side. 
 

Asmavia Iqbal Khokhar grabbed four wickets for 16 runs in her 4 overs spell while Qanita Jalil captured two wickets conceding 10 runs in three overs.  
 

Earlier, sent in to bat first, Pakistan Women’s team posted 120 runs for 7 in stipulated 20 overs with opener Syeda Fatima Abidi making 54 runs off 51 balls including five fours and was adjudged player of the match.  
 

Skipper Sana Mir made 26 runs off 26 balls with three fours before bowled by Panna Ghosh.  
 

Panna Ghosh claimed two wickets for 15 runs while Fahima Khatun, Rumana Ahmed and Jahanara Alam took one wicket each for 14, 16 and 22 runs respectively.
