Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- The YoungOne Corporation resumed operation in all its production units in the CEPZ on Tuesday after violent labour unrest that forced shut down of factories on December 11.

Factories of the YoungOne Group resumed production from Tuesday morning and most of the workers have joined their workplaces in the export processing zone, General Manager of the CEPZ SM Abdur Rashid said.

There is no disruption in production in any of the factories in the CEPZ including the trouble-stricken units of the YoungOne. There is strong surveillance of the law enforcers and additional police have been deployed in the area, said another CEPZ official. The attendance of workers in the industrial zone remains around 90 per cent, he added.

Meanwhile, three cases have been filed by police against some 30,000 unidentified men including those arrested. 31 miscreants were picked up from the scene on Sunday last, according to reports.
